Liza the Troll

I made this in honor of my big sister Liza who commited suicide two years ago, on the 29th of January 2010. We used to joke and say that she was a troll changeling, so I decided to turn her into an actual troll. ^^

Liza's face, hand and pose comes from a photograph, and I just painted her clothes and hair over the original picture, and did some minor editing to her face. The pose, and her sticking her tongue out, is something I think captures Liza's personality really well.

I like to imagine my sister just like this, walking through a forest with giant trees and sticking her tongue out at everything before continuing on towards the light. I'll probably make this an anual thing, and next year I'll make an even better picture. ^^
